I’ve been really surprised by Bill Maher over the last year. He’s almost a conservative if you ask me. In fact, when he recently spoke to Dave Rubin about the matter, he asked Maher what it would take to push him over the edge to which he basically replied with dumping Trump.
This week, he pushed back on a prominent liberal and atheist, Sam Harris after he asserted that news companies lacked the time to confirm the Hunter Biden laptop, but Bill Maher countered his argument.
In the weeks leading up to the last presidential election, the pair were talking about the infamous Hunter Biden laptop story, which was made public by the New York Post. On Twitter and other social media sites, the story was promptly removed, and other news outlets dismissed it as Russian propaganda.
Harris attempted to place the blame for the laptop’s absence on Rudy Guiliani, claiming media outlets lacked the opportunity to confirm it.
“My default position is why should we be hostage to Rudy Giuliani’s timetable. If Rudy Giuliani holds onto this thing until the 11th hour, 10 days before an election and drops it as an October surprise, why should the New York Times and CNN and every other media organization be hostage to his goal of dropping this at a time when there’s just gonna be not enough time to pass it before the election?” Harris said.
“It was completely plausible to worry that this was a fake story,” Harris said. “And there simply wasn’t enough time to get to the bottom of it.”
“Really? Well then why did the outlets that did get to the bottom of it, get to it?” Maher asked. “The New York Post had no problem getting to the bottom of it.”
Which is true because the New York Times and I’m finally admitted to the authenticity have the laptop from hell earlier this year. One thing that I found really interesting though was something that was reported by the New York Post and which they asked about how the New York Times was actually able to authenticate the laptop because they don’t actually say how that was done. On the other hand the New York Post detailed everything that they did including how they were able to get the files and where they came from.
All this is is a matter of like or dislike and here’s the thing, right now is that they don’t like Joe Biden anymore so now they’re going to follow through with this sort of story.
